This Thursday: The 2012 VCS Open Studios

This Thursday, the Visual & Critical Studies Department will host its annual Open Studios in the 4th and 6th floor studios at 133 West 21st Street. This year’s event was organized by artist and VCS faculty member Peter Hristoff.

Open Studios is a chance for students in each SVA department to show off the work they’ve done throughout the academic year. Faculty members, peers, family, and members of the public can visit the campus to see art created by students during the preceding months, displayed in the spaces where they made it.

You can read about last year’s VCS Open Studios and see images from it in a series of posts I wrote earlier this year, located at these links: part 1, part 2, and part 3.

The 2012 VCS Open Studios will run from 5 to 9 p.m. this Thursday evening, April 26th. The event is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there.
